Stress Is Stressful!
“I’m stressed out!” That phrase is very familiar and we always hear that from a friend, a family member or even ourselves. Some of the reasons are working too much and there are a lot of workloads that we need to meet on a deadline; personal problems that are coming in and out almost every day that we do not know how to handle it anymore; or, just by looking at the bills and other obligations that we need to pay immediately. These are some of the examples of stress that we encounter every single minute of our lives.
Stress can come from any situation that makes a person frustrated, anxious or angry. Everyone can feel it. There’s no limitation for it. Even kids can be stressed out from their playmates for not letting them borrow a toy, or by not giving them ice cream on a birthday party.
For adults, we always feel stressed because we’re thinking too much. We think about our work, our family and even our friend’s problems. When we know that we have too much of it, it is important to set aside a little time for ourselves to relax. We can follow the ff steps:
- When we know that we’re already stressed out, we need to stop from what we’re doing and relax. Even a 15 minute break will do just to revive the energy that was lost. We can walk around the lobby, watch funny videos or just take a nap for few minutes.
- If our boss is giving us too much workload, we can talk to them and explain our needs. We should communicate in a way that he would understand our concerns.
- Listening to music can also relieve stress because it’s relaxing and soothing to ears.
